The Mount Saint Vincent University Tributes Committee was established in 1988. It is a subcommittee of the Executive Committee of Senate. Functions include presenting to Senate a slate of candidates for Senate Election of honorary degree candidates. Membership consists of members of the Executive Committee and two members appointed by and from the Board of Governors.

Sub-series forms part of the Senate Executive Committee series and consists of minutes (1991), background documents, biographical information and memorandums (1973-2002) compiled by the Mount Saint Vincent University Tributes Committee when considering candidates for the awarding of honorary degrees at University Convocations.
