The fonds consists of records belonging to Alice Egan (Hagen) and her daughter Rachel Dickinson (Hagen).

The first item is an autograph book dating from 1882 to 1887 belonging to Alice Egan. The book contains messages, well-wishes, poems and autographs written by family and friends, predominantly from the period when Alice was a student at Mount Saint Vincent Academy.

There are also 2 printed event programmes from Mount Saint Vincent Academy that were donated by Rachel. The programmes cover Closing Exercises of intermediate and junior pupils of Academy Mount Saint Vincent (19 June 1917) and the pageant commemorating the 50th anniversary of the foundation of Mount Saint Vincent Academy in 1924. Rachel’s younger sister Kathleen acted in the pageant, and Rachel played the second violin.

The Pageant programme provides important context to the scenes being acted out and that are captured in various photographs from this period which can be found in other fonds at Mount Saint Vincent University Archives.
