Fonds consists of records pertaining to Mount Saint Vincent University’s Teaching and Learning Centre (previously the Distance Learning and Continuing Education department). Materials include budgets, annual reports, strategic planning, surveys, correspondence, and other administrative records. Fonds also consists of records related to DUET (Distance University Education via Television) as well as other projects and initiatives supported by the Centre. Records related to online learning and programming are included as well.

Series forms part of Public Affairs fonds and consists of materials relating to convocation, honorary degree and installation ceremonies. Materials include drafts and proofs of programs, invitations, grad lists, grad packs and letters, speeches/citations, fact sheets, profiles and CV's of honorary degree recipients and handbooks. Also included are memos, meeting minutes and agendas, the convocation manual, and correspondence.

Fonds consists of materials such as media clippings, advertising, news releases, marketing brochures, promotional material for events, university publications, videos and audio recordings.

Sub-series forms part of Publicity and consists of proofs, drafts and final copies of advertisements promoting Mount Saint Vincent University found in newspapers, magazines, on television and other media sources. This sub-series also includes memos, correspondence and costs regarding advertisements. Sub-series excludes advertisements regarding events at the University which can be found in the sub-series events.

Series forms part of Public Affairs fonds and consists of drafts, proofs and final copies of publications and reports that Public Affairs has produced and distributed for recruitment and promotion. Materials include brochures, student recruitment materials, bulletins, newsletters,
the University website, handbooks, the president's annual report, Blueprint and fact sheets. Excluded are publications relating to convocation, which can be found under the series titled Convocation.

Series forms part of Public Affairs fonds and consists of materials relating directly to the Public Affairs office as well as files collected by the office. This series includes information on the roles and duties of the office, retreats, memos, notes, correspondence, communications plan, various committee meeting agendas and minutes, media contacts, communication reports to the Board of Governors, column proposals and office staffing. Other material and information collected by the office are certificates and greetings, information on past University presidents, fundraising campaigns, budget planning, policies, photo release forms, guides for copying/copyright, University regulations, awards, new
course proposals and department changes, campus expansion, financial plans, appointments, University histories and Canada research chair.

Collection consists of artifacts donated by Mount Saint Vincent University and MSVU alumni, including medals and pendants awarded to graduates (1886-1940), souvenir pins for the Mount's 60th anniversary (1985), various Mount Scholar pins and MSVU lapel pins, medals from the Sodality Club, patches and stamps of the Mount Saint Vincent crest and coat of arms, Mount Saint Vincent College song lyrics, a Bachelor of Arts hood from the first commencement (1929), a leaf from the laurel crowns worn by graduates (1939), MSVU banners, and other Mount Saint Vincent ephemera including the papal flag, plaques awarded to Dr. Naomi Hersom, and commemorative items from building openings including keys, ribbons, plaques, trowels, and posters.

Collection includes plaques from the original Evaristus Chapel and items that were formerly housed in the MacDonald Collection room, including bookends, a Shakespeare bust, and various decorative boxes and cups.

Collection also consists of items donated by the Alumnae Association, including the Alumnae news letterhead, Director’s gavel, Alumnae weekend trophy (1994), Shine-rama t-shirt, and Alumnae Association pins, as well as items donated by the Sisters of Charity, including the School of Music seal stamp, an Infant of Prague statue, and a vase painted by Fide de Bedia who was an alumnae of Mount Saint Vincent Academy (1905-1909).

Box UR-025-005 also contains textual records and correspondence regarding the Mount Saint Vincent crest, coat of arms, and seal, as well as notes on the MSVU mace, and pocket calendars with directions of the College Mistress (Warden) regarding student activities (1950s).

This collection comprises photographs documenting the history of Mount Saint Vincent University and student, faculty, and community experiences.

Fonds consists of material created and accumulated by Patrick O'Neill through the course of his theatre research and his employment at Mount Saint Vincent University. The fonds consists primarily of research notes, newspaper clippings, correspondence, drafts of papers, publications, plays, course notes and syllabi among other material
