Fonds consists of minutes of meetings of the Inter-University Committee (1970-1971) which include minutes of the sub-committee to explore cooperation with the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD). Also consists of existing agreements on cooperation between Dalhousie University and Mount Saint Vincent University (1973), and NSCAD (1971).

Christl Murray fonds

Fonds consists of one album containing photographs of students at Mount Saint Vincent Academy and College, some are identified, including Christl (Tiefenbacker) Murray. Photographs include students dressed in costume for a pageant, and includes photographs of the original motherhouse building prior to the 1951 fire, and various outdoor locations on campus. Identified students include Beryl Ernst, Delbra Ashford, Rachel Sweeny, Jean Delvalette, Mary Haskel and Norma Hiltz.

Fonds consists of meeting minutes of Gingerbread House (1973), guidelines for parents, flyers and forms, correspondence (1973-1974), background material, Charter and procedures for Gingerbread House, including a proposal presented to the MSVU Board of Governors (1973) and correspondence (1973). Fonds includes material related to discussions concerning the need for day care at MSVU (1971-1972), and minutes and reports of the MSVU Day Care Committee, and feasibility study materials (1971-1972).

MSVU Facilities Management fonds

The Facilities Management fonds contains records produced by the Facilities Management department of Mount Saint Vincent University. These records document the department’s various activities on the campus.

Presently, the fonds contains two series.
The first series contains records relating the university grounds which encompasses nearly 38 acres of land. Types of records in this series include information on the Sister Lua Arboretum, the Mount’s fitness trail (Ferda Wales Walking Trail), donations for memorial benches, trees and plants located on campus, and tree and plant care for the campus, including details on pesticide and fertilization activities. The records also include articles and reports detailing grounds maintenance, as well as records relating to this history and design of the MSVU grounds. Finally, important documentation and policies relating to safety are also included. A select number of born-digital files are also part of this series. Please contact an Archivist for more information about the scope and content of these digital files.

The second series contains original architectural plans for a number of buildings at the university. Various copies of architectural plans are available and show different design options.

Further accruals for this fonds are anticipated.
