Parks’ visit was in conjunction with Pathways to Freedom, a program of the Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute for Self-Development. Pathways to Freedom is a program that follows the Underground Railroad and the Sixties freedom bus routes through the United States into Canada. 1998 was the first time Nova Scotia hosted the event – on the Mount Saint Vincent Campus.
