Fond consists of textual records and photographs relating to Mount Saint Vincent University's Student Union. The contents of this collection were largely created by the student council members and administration at MSVU. The largest series within this collection is administrative materials but there are also many documents relating to events, publications such as the Student Handbook and student newspaper (the Picaro), financial documents, documents relating to Student Union regulations, the Student Union’s businesses and services, as well as committees on which student council members serve, Student Union projects, and documents relating to non-traditional Mount students and the organizations to which they belong. The Mount Saint Vincent University Student associations included within the fonds are at least partially governed by executive members of the Student Union.

This subseries contains textual documents and information about the Alumnae Student Union Leadership Award which was established using funds raised in trivia pursuits tournaments. The file contains completed nomination forms for the award, documents pertaining to the establishment of the award, information about the trivia pursuit tournaments, participant lists, and questions used in tournaments.

This subseries will contain miscellaneous textual and graphic material related to events organized by the Mount Saint Vincent University Student Union. The file contains one photo from the Student Council Christmas party.

This file contains information about Mount Saint Vincent University’s Student Affairs Committee, on which 2 members of the student council serve. This file contains a record of correspondence between the committee and the Mount Saint Vincent University Student Council.

This file contains information about the Student Aid Advisory Committee, who's mandate is to review and make recommendations to the Minister of Advanced Education and job training on financial assistance for University and Community College students. The file contains information about the committee, meeting minutes, and related records of correspondence.

This subseries contains information related to the conference attended by the Mount Association for Non-Traditional University Students (MANUS). This file contains information about the annual Canadian Organization of Part-Time University Students conference, an issue of the Campus Connection (which includes members of MANUS), and conference related records of correspondence.

This subseries contains memos about the regulations for Mount Saint Vincent University alumnae who wish to attend Student Union entertainment functions.

This subseries contains issues of the Picaro, which is the name of the student newspaper which was owned and operated by Mount Saint Vincent University’s Student Union. The Picaro began in 1965 but the name was briefly changed to Jargon from 2002-2004 and was eventually changed to Sentinel in 2005.
