This series also includes some personal photographs, art sketches, a Meet the Navy video cassette, playbills, and sheet music collected by Patrick O’Neill. This series also includes 1 cassette tape with interviews recorded by CBC; 1 cassette tape from the Speech and Drama Department at Mount Saint Vincent University; 1 cassette tape entitled Sister Amnesia’s Country Western Nunsense Jamboree, written and directed by Dan Goggin, from 1995; and 1 cassette tape entitled Great Speeches of the 20th Century, from 1991.

Architectural Plans

Series consists of architectural plans for various construction and renovation projects at Mount Saint Vincent University from 1949-1989. The series contains technical and architectural drawings, including site plans, plot plans, floor plans, section details, elevation drawings and architectural sketches. Certain files include notes or letters describing the contents of the drawings.

This series is divided into 12 subseries according to architectural projects. These include:

Grounds Files

Series consists of materials relating to MSVU grounds. Records primarily pertain to grounds maintenance, including landscaping, plant and tree locations, watering schedules, plant purchases, turf repair quotes and plans, soil samples, grounds boundaries and measurements, gift trees, memorial benches and plaques, pest control, and pesticide information. Series also includes certain records on the design and construction of the E. Margaret Fulton Communications Centre and the Margaret Norrie McCain Centre.

Series contains information on the Sister Lau arboretum, the Freda Wales walking trail, as well as the community and butterfly gardens. Informational documents also include gardening tips and articles, the history of MSVU grounds, campus maps, newsletters, and records related to initiatives such as plant swaps and “plant of the week.”

Series also includes safety information, including WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System), safety training, safe-operating procedures, safety minutes, handbooks, brochures, and articles.

Mount Association for Non-Traditional University Students

This series contains information about the Mount Association for Non-Traditional University Students (MANUS), which was formally known as Campus Association of Part-Time University Students (CAPUS). This organization began in in order to meet the needs of non-traditional (mature and part-time) students attending the Mount and was overseen by the Student Union. The series contains information about the formation of the organization, information about when the organization was knows as CAPUS, administrative materials, conference information, information about Shinerama participation, a survey of members, orientation information, information regarding the task force for the report to the Nova Scotia Royal Commission on Post-Secondary Education, financial information relating to MANUS, and documents related to the continuing education committee. The series also contains information about the Canadian Organization of Part-Time University Students, which was a larger governing body to which CAPUS and MANUS belonged.
