'96 Reunion [moving images]

This recording contains a slideshow which celebrates the 75th anniversary of the graduating class of 1922 as well as other graduating classes from the Mount such as the class of 1973-74 This recording is a slideshow of photographs from various years which shows various students, faculty and Mount Saint Vincent's building. A woman today seminar [sound recording]

This recording contains the audio of two panels from the A Woman Today Seminar. There are two tracks on this recording. Track A begins with general announcements and welcome. From 00:01:02 to 00:03:15 Brenda Shipton, the chairman of the event introduces the first panel which consists of; Sister Marie Gillan, Jean Hartley [sp?], Dr. Jacques Goulet and Dr. Tony Bruder [sp?]. From 00:04:00 to 00:31:50 the attendees (who have been separated into groups prior to this recording) read notes from their group discussion on how women identify themselves and are identified by others. From 00:32:12 to 00:34:54 Tony Bruder reacted to the panel. Jean Hartley also reacted to the panel from 00:34:56 to 00:40:41 as does Dr. Jacques Goulet from 00:40:52 to 00:54:08. From 00:55:11 to 01:17:52 comments and questions are presented from attendees. There is no audio from 01:20:12 to 01:21:12. At 01:21:12 a new panel begins. The panelists are introduced from 01:21:38 to 01:22:31 which includes; Marilyn Kelly, Shirley Fishman, Sister Agnes Martha, Joan Cooke, Mary Casey, Maragret Kripton, Mrs. Richard Goldbloom, Betty Perks, Caroline Goodfellow, as well as a reactor panel which includes; Maureen Lyle, Sister Geraldine Anthony, Reverend Don Shipton and Father Barry Wheaton. Alumnae Reunion ‘97: Academy Reception and Golf Tournament [moving images]

This recording contains video of the 1997 Reunion which celebrates multiple graduating classes of Mount Saint Vincent. This video includes speeches from; Shirley Nickelson, President of the Alumni Association, a speech from University President Dr. Sheila A. Brown, a member of the Sister of Charity and the Executive Vice President of the student union during the academy reception. There are also interviews from various alumnus after the reception. There is additionally clips of the golf tournament in this recording as well as video recording from a dinner which took place after the golf tournament where prizes are awarded to golfers (generally humorous awards). There is also a recording from the annual alumni dinner which includes a speech from University President Dr. Sheila A. Brown, Sister of Charity and Chair of the Board, Sister Elizabeth Bellafontaine and Janet Cleveland from the Student Union. This recording additionally contains the alumni toast to various graduating classes.

Conference: And your Daughters Shall Prophesy [sound recording]

This recording contains two sides. Side A is a continuation of Sister Veronica O'Reilley's lecture on women's movements in the Christian Church from Side B of MSVUA-AV-162A. Side B of this tape contains a recording from the second day of the conference which celebrates the launch of the Decade of Churches in Solidarity with Women. This recording contains a lecture from Reverend Latonya Bynum Director of Women in Ministry of Christian Church Disciples of Christ. The lecture is on women sharing ministry with other women. On Side A from 00:00:00 to 00:32:03 is the rest of Sister Veronica O'Reilley's lecture, followed by applause. From 00:32:10 to 00:34:14 a question period follows. 00:34:15 to 00:35:55 Jean Gordon, the President of the Inter-Church Council of Canada reflects on Sister Veronica O'Reilley's lecture. 00:35:56 to 00:42:15 Joyce Kennedy makes announcements, gives thanks to sponsors and talks about changes to the schedule. From 00:42:12 to 00:46:47 an audience member makes a comment about the parable of the Naked Lady which begins another comment and question period. The questions are difficult to hear. From 00:46:47 to 00:47:29 is a part of an introduction to another part of the conference but is cut off. On Side B from 00:00:00 to 00:08:02 is the rest of the introduction begun on Side A. This introduction is for the reading of liturgies and prayer which were then given by Emma Miller, President of Maritime Conference UCW (United Church Women) and an unnamed women. From 00:08:02 to 00:09:17 the hymn Glory to God is performed. From 00:09:18 to 00:13:00 an unnamed woman introduced Latonya Byunm and the Christian Church Disciples of Christ. From 00:13:01 to 00:43:48 Latonya Byntum lectures on the topic of women sharing ministry with other women. From 00:14:40 to 00:15:35 attendees are invited to talk among themselves about women with whom they have had the opportunity to share ministry. It is too loud to make out any one conversation during this time. From 00:43:48 to 00:43:51 the tape is blank, cutting off the last few words of Latonya Byunm's lecture. From 00:43:51 to 00:47:28 applause is followed by comments and questions from the audience.

This recording contains only one side, which is a continuation of the question period which followed Latonya Bynum's lecture on Side B of MSVUA-AV-162B. From 00:00:00 to 00:10:58 attendees ask questions and comment on Bynum's lecture. From 00:10:58 to 00:11:31 an unnamed woman thanked Bynum. From 00:11:31 to 00:18:32 Joyce Kennedy talks about the schedule for the rest of the day and other housekeeping items.

From 00:06:31 to 00:08:14 those in attendance discuss the question Hunter puts forth which is: what would they suggest if they were asked to present on the same subject. From 00:28:27 to 00:36:58 Jean Gordon, the President of the Inter-Church Council of Canada reflected on Hunters question, followed by a question period. From 00:37:59 to 00:44:41 Joyce Kennedy tells the attendees about the rest of their schedule. From 00:44:49 to 00:47:46 an unnamed woman welcomes attendees on the second day of the conference. Side B is a recording of a conference lecture given by Sister Veronica O'Reilly which was part of the launch of the Decade of Churches in Solidarity with Women, on the second day of the conference. Convocation [Spring 1955 and Lloyd McGuinness interviewing Father Quinine] [sound recording]

This recording contains two tracks. Track A contains a recording of "God Save the Queen" during the 1955 spring convocation ceremony and the recessional from 00:00:00 to 00:13:02.
