E. Margaret Fulton sod turning ceremony with Premier Buchanan [moving images]

In this recording are a variety of images of the plans for the E. Margaret Fulton building before it's creation. There are additionally shots of University administrators such as Dr. Naomi Hersom and members of the university community looking at these plans. There is additionally a small parade to the sod turning ceremony including a bagpiper (Mount student Beverly Boyce). Dr. Naomi Hersom makes a short speech as does; Archbishop of Halifax James Hayes. Sister Margaret Malloy (Sister of Chairty), Premier John Buchanan and one of the designers performed the sod turning ceremony. Following Premier John Buchanan also made a speech about the building. Dale Godeson (Chair of the Board of Governors) makes a speech, following is the recording of the reception.
