Mount Saint Vincent University Archives houses the institutional records of Mount Saint Vincent College and University, including faculty and alumnae collections, as well as select community records pertaining to social justice issues.
Fonds contains financial, statistical, administrative, and curricular records as well as photographs, slides, newspaper clippings, and publications received and generated by the Home Economics Department. Fonds is arranged into six series and a sous-fonds: Human Ecology.
Series contains administrative documents created and received by the Human Ecology Advisory Board, as well as the Human Ecology Nova Scotia Nutrition Strategy Steering Committee. Documents include statistical information about courses, the degree, and internships.
Series consists of exams and course proposals created by the Home Economics Department, as well as reference materials from national and provincial Dietetic and Home Economics Associations, and the Canadian Department of Agriculture. Photographs are part of this series as well as miscellaneous correspondence.
Series contains a brochure, newspaper clippings, a poster, photographs, and a committee program used to promote the Home Economics program at the Mount. Student activities, fashion shows, and open houses are represented in this series.
Series contains reports, expense sheets, correspondence, memos, proposals, agendas, planning materials, guidelines and regulations, course curriculum, exams, and photographs relating to various international projects undertaken by the Home Economics Department.
Series consists of documents created and received by the Human Ecology Department regarding linkages with home economics departments at other Universities, as well as records of proposed development plans for home economics departments at some universities.

Series also contains statistics relating to Home Economics enrolment, graduation, and internships, as well as academic advising information.

File contains information regarding the planning and execution of an event to celebrate 50 years of Home Economics at Mount Saint Vincent University. Reference materials from Mount Allison’s jubilee celebration as well as correspondence, meeting minutes and memos created by the home economics Golden Jubilee committee are part of this file.
