Series consists of records relating to the administrative actions of the Home Economics Department as well as its affiliated Bachelor of Science Nutrition Major Advisory Committee. Documents include meeting minutes, proposals, reference material, correspondence, photographs and slides. Series also contains statistics relating to Home Economics enrolment, graduation, and internships, as well as academic advising information.

Series consists of administrative files pertaining to MSVU Library and Archives. Series is divided into seven sub-series: management records, collections and circulation, systems and technologies, financial records, surveys, publications, and collective agreements.

Administrative records

Series consists of administrative files created by the Teaching and Learning Centre, including meeting notes and reports from the Continuing Education committee and sub-committee (1978-1986), the Senate committee on Continuing Education (1973-1977), and CAPP: the Committee on Academic Policy and Planning (2007, 2012). Series also consists of director’s meetings notes (1987-1988), communications from MSVU’s President (2000-2014), Continuing Education reviews (1988-1995), notes from the Continuing Education Task Force (1981-1988), Continuing Education consultations (2011-2012), MSVU strategic plans (1987-1990, 2010-2017), and Faculty collective agreements (2000-2019), as well as annual reports (1972-1993), summer school session reports (1973-84, 2004-2006), and CAUCE (Canadian Association for University Continuing Education) environmental scans (1992) and correspondence (2007-2015).

Series contains surveys from non-traditional students (1986), adult students (1984-1986), and first year students (2004), as well as activities produced by the Teaching and Learning Centre including the 30th year anniversary (2010-2012), various lecture series (2011-2017), programs and workshops (1987-2003), and course offerings and course development (1992-2018).

Series also consists of informational materials including media guides (2000, 2002), promotional pamphlets (1980-2015), written histories of MSVU and the Teaching and Learning Centre (1972-2015), and various publications of Folia Montana (2001-2004).

Administrative records

Series consists of administrative records created by the Nova Scotia Women’s History Society (NSWHS) including meeting agendas, minutes from board meetings (2012-2017) and from Annual General Meetings (2013-2020), NSWHS’ by-laws, codes of conduct (2018), membership lists (2014-2015), newsletter drafts (2018), and logo designs. Series also includes correspondence between NSWHS members, with other Nova Scotia organizations, and with members of the public.

Businesses and Services

This series contains information about the businesses and services which are owned and operated by the Mount Saint Vincent Student Union. Presently, the series contains information about Vinnie’s Pub. The series contains a pub management agreement and related documents, statistics regarding pub revenues and attendance, and documents related to pub renovations.

Curriculum

Series consists of exams and course proposals created by the Home Economics Department, as well as reference materials from national and provincial Dietetic and Home Economics Associations, and the Canadian Department of Agriculture. Photographs are part of this series as well as miscellaneous correspondence.

Financial Documents

This series contains various financial documents relating to Mount Saint Vincent’s Student Union. Some documents relate to the spending of various societies while others relate to the businesses run by the Union such as the corner store (Crow n' Go) and pub (Vinnie's Pub). Others relate to the general spending of the Union. The primary document type within this series is financial statements. The series also includes budgets, schedules of revenues and expenses, a breakdown of student union fees and how they are spent, auditors’ reports, and other miscellaneous financial documents.

Governing Athletic Organizations

This series consists of records concerning the intercollegiate athletics programs the Mount was a member of. Programs include the Atlantic Women's Intercollegiate Athletic Association, the Canadian Women's Intercollegiate Athletic Union, and the Atlantic Universities Athletic Association. Included are correspondence, various reports, minutes, by-laws, championship lists, tournament lists, and participation lists.

Mount Association for Non-Traditional University Students

This series contains information about the Mount Association for Non-Traditional University Students (MANUS), which was formally known as Campus Association of Part-Time University Students (CAPUS). This organization began in in order to meet the needs of non-traditional (mature and part-time) students attending the Mount and was overseen by the Student Union. The series contains information about the formation of the organization, information about when the organization was knows as CAPUS, administrative materials, conference information, information about Shinerama participation, a survey of members, orientation information, information regarding the task force for the report to the Nova Scotia Royal Commission on Post-Secondary Education, financial information relating to MANUS, and documents related to the continuing education committee. The series also contains information about the Canadian Organization of Part-Time University Students, which was a larger governing body to which CAPUS and MANUS belonged.

This series consists of records related to public affairs at the Mount. The contents of this collection was created by the MSVU administration. News Releases and Athletics and Recreation Schedules are included within this series.
